- As a plant matures they lose their bottom foliage. This is completely normal and unavoidable. If the upper leaves are turning yellow, you may need to reassess your watering routine or move the plant away from direct sunlight.
- Allow the top 2 inches of the soil to dry before watering. Water thoroughly and remove excess water. Do not allow the soil to completely dry out.
- Prefers bright, indirect light. Can tolerate low to medium light. But the brighter the light, the happier the plant will be.

Provide a climbing trellis/structure for the Monstera 'Swiss Cheese' to grow up and you’ll have a large plant on your hands in no time. It’s incredible watching this plant grow. It prefers a location with bright, indirect light. It can tolerate direct sunlight for a short period of time. The leaves do turn yellow and that is completely normal.

Light
Prefers bright, indirect light. Can tolerate low to medium light.
Water
Allow the top 2 inches of the soil to dry before watering. Water thoroughly and remove excess water. Do not allow the soil to completely dry out.
Repotting
Can be done every 12-18 months. Choose a pot that is 2” larger in diameter than the original pot.
Soil
Use a well-draining, high organic matter soil mix.
Temperature
Average from 65°F - 75°F
Feeding
Follow a monthly fertilizing schedule when the plant is actively growing. In most cases, this is in the spring and summer. Use a balanced fertilizer - this means a ratio of NPK that is all the same. Ex: 10-10-10.
Grooming
Remove damaged and yellowing old leaves at the base of the petiole with a pair of shears.
Care
Every once in a while place this plant under the shower head to remove any dust or debris.
