Black Friday Indoor Plants To Get This Season
1. Snake Plant
For a little tropical flair, get a Snake Plant! If you’re getting this as a gift, it can travel fairly easily. You won’t have to deal with droopy or bushy foliage while transporting it. Just watch out for the sword-like leaves of the snake plant! You might need to keep this away from nibbly pets and kids because of that and its toxicity.
There are loads of snake plants out there, but this one is on sale this Black Friday - as are other plants if you want variety. So, make sure to really browse through the list if you’d like to get your hands on more.
If you’re getting this for someone new to the plant world, then snake plants are great since they can be kept indoors with some indirect lighting and even survive some neglect. Watering is also just done when necessary (when soil is dry).
2. Rubber Plant
Hardy and oh-so pretty, the Rubber Plant is another great pick for new plant parents. If you haven’t picked one up because you’re scared you don’t know how to properly care for it, then maybe getting one at a discount may now convince you to!
Rubber plants are great for people who like keeping a routine. Daily misting, regular watering (while making sure that the soil can properly drain)… It's an easy plant to get to know. If you accidentally overwater one or forget to water, no worries! Just make sure you don’t keep forgetting otherwise you’ll have one unhappy plant!
3. Blue Spruce
If anything screams festive holidays, it’s this Blue Spruce! Why is it better than your average Christmas tree? For starters, it isn’t made with plastic. Plus the size of it is perfect for small homes or big bedrooms. You’re definitely getting the spruce tree experience, too! It smells like a mini forest and it’ll produce little, loose needles even.
If you can find one, dress up for the holidays! Apart from keeping it away from pets, this plant is easy to care for. It can thrive indoors with indirect light and regular watering. Even if you gift this, people won’t be overwhelmed with caring for it.
Oh and while you can keep this indoors during the season, this spruce needs to get some fresh air when it’s over. That means it’s best kept outdoors, preferably on a balcony, after Christmas.
4. Pineapple Plant
Pineapples have long been a symbol of good luck in Chinese culture. That’s because the way it’s pronounced sounds so close to how you would say the phrase ‘luck coming your way' in their language. The Pineapple Plant is allowed to grow, and the pineapple itself is never consumed so as to continue the good luck. We can’t think of a better plant to get this holiday season!

Pineapple plants are still somewhat easy to take care of. You do have to keep a good eye on it so that it keeps looking great and healthy. We would recommend gifting this Black Friday plant to more experienced plant parents.
Think tropical when caring for pineapple plants. It loves bright lights and can survive occasional direct sunlight. For watering, this wintery season you won’t have to do as much. Once back in warmer weather, make sure the soil is dry before watering.
5. Philodendron
If you’ve ever played The Sims, then you know about the Philodendron! Many homes all over the digital world have been decorated with this beautiful, green plant. This makes a great plant to give to a gamer friend of yours, too! They’ll appreciate the reference and appreciate knowing that this plant won't be too much trouble to take care of.
Speaking of, the philodendron just needs moist soil. The top layer can go dry, but make sure this plant never gets parched. For lighting, medium to bright indirect light will do. The philodendron is on sale this Black Friday so get your simoleons ready!
6. Lemon Tree
All that we can see is this little Lemon Tree - It is certainly eye-catching! This plant really has it all, from lush leaves to fragrant flowers, and tasty fruit. Though there isn't a definite season or time when this plant will actually grow fruits, it’s roughly around the Christmas season! When it does start growing lemons, you’ll have more reason to celebrate.
We don’t need to convince you why lemons are great. So, bring a pop of color to you or your loved ones’ homes by getting them a plucky little lemon tree! We would advise not eating these lemons, though! You can get creative and use these lemons for other things like cleaning applications.
7. Dwarf Norway Spruce
Another spruce makes its way to the Black Friday plant sales… Of course, it will! It’s a unique gift that one might think of giving. You and everyone in the office can pool some cash in to get one. Once you do, make a little team-building activity out of it as you end this year. Plant a tree in a spot that you all can come back to each year! Some of your mates might leave the team as years go by but coming back together around Christmas will ensure you stay lifelong friends.
While you can keep it indoors for now, the Dwarf Norway Spruce is actually an outdoor plant. If you’re picking a place in your garden for it, make sure it isn’t a windy spot. You also don’t need to water it daily as long as the soil is moist. A dry finger check should indicate if you need to water this spruce.
